The name of the college is written above the motifs and the initials ’KJEI’ is written below. A pair of lions support the shield and a motif of Sri Mahesamurti or Trimurti of Elephanta Caves crests the shield. Below the shield, on a brown banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं (पवित्रमिह विद्यते)’ (Shloka 38, Chapter 4, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘In this World there Exists No Purifier Comparable to Knowledge’ is inscribed. At the bottom ‘Trinity’ is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the two lions flanking the shield symbolises strength, courage, and protection; the icon of Sri Mahesamurti symbolises the three faces representing the three essential aspects of Shiva ‘creation, preservation and destruction.
