The scenery refers to geography of the locale; the books refer to learning, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the turmeric and corns refer to the local produce; the octagon  symbolises  transition, rebirth, and cosmic balance.

The cyan, green and red emblem of the university has a plaque with rising sun above flowing waters supported by two palm trees and crested its motto in Arabic ‘طلب العلم فريضة’ meaning ‘Seeking Knowledge is an Obligation’.
