The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the waterdam refers to irrigation; the windmill refers to the power generation; the book refers to education and knowledge; the handloom refers to the local industry; and the farmer tilling the soil refers to agriculture.
