The blueish emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Kallakurichi (GASCKKI) features a shield housing an image of the gopuram of Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple of Kallakurichi, poet Thiruvalluvar, the scene of Kalvarayan Hills and an open book, supported by a pair of laurels. The motifs are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil. Below the seal, on a blue banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘கற்றனைத் தூறும் அறிவு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 396, Thirukkural) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the gopuram refers to the history and heritage of the place and divine blessings and guidance; Thiruvalluvar refer to the literature and linguistic history of Tamil; and the book refers to learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
