The emblem of Government Arts College, Udhagamandalam (GAC Udhagamandalam) features a shield divided into four quarters housing the motifs of a golden sun over Ooty Lake, a white lilly, a eucalyptus tree (Nilgiri tree) and a ‘Arsh' or 'Dogles’ (Toda house). The motto of the college ‘Do and Dare’ is written on a golden banner placed atop the shield and a red banner below the shield holds the year of inception of the college. All the motifs refer to nature, history and culture of Udhagamandalam; and the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted. Its name is written in Urdu atop the emblem on a banner; written in Devanagari on a banner above the logo and in English at its bottom. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed.
