The shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; the hoe refers to agriculture; the gopuram refers to divine blessings and guidance; the lamps symbolise light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
