The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Alangudi (GASC Alangudi) features a gopuram supported by an open book at the bottom and a pair of laurels on the sides and a traditional lamp ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college. On a panel placed below the seal, the name of the college is written. On a banner placed at the bottom, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘மெய்ப்பொருள் காண்பது அறிவு’ (423, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘To Discern the Truth is Wisdom’ is written. The gopuram refers to the State of Tamilnadu and divine blessings and grace; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
