Below the seal, on a red banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘கேடில் விழுச்செல்வம் கல்வி’ (400, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Education is an Imperishable and Invaluable Wealth’ is inscribed. The temple symbolises the heritage and history of the place and divine blessings and guidance; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the ‘homam’ fire refers to a divine presence, a powerful transformer, and a messenger connecting humanity to the cosmos; the lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
