National Institute of Technology, Srinagar (NITSRI) is one of the premier educational institutes in the northern regions of the country. It was established in 1960 and has been one of the eighteen Regional Engineering Colleges sponsored by the Government of India during the Second Plan. Its emblem is an Arabic calligraphic monogram of 'الظلمات إلى النور', which is placed in the middle. A set of three chinar leaves float on both the sides of the monogram. At the bottom of the monogram its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय‘ meaning ‘Lead me from Darkness to Light’ is placed. Below this on two banners the name of the institute and the place are written.

TOBACCO BOARD The Tobacco Board was constituted as a statutory body on January 1, 1976 under Section (4) of the Tobacco Act, 1975. The Board is headed by a chairman with headquarters at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and is responsible for the development of the tobacco industry. GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. Lotus symbolises knowledge, wisdom and purity and the gear wheel symbolises energy, movement, advancement and progress.

PDIL an erstwhile Division of the Fertilizer Corporation of India was registered as a separate company in March 1978. Its logo has its acronym written in Engish and Devanagari within a red bordered rectangle topped at its right by a blue coloured globe. NATIONAL BANK FOR FINANCING INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEVELOPMENT The need for establishing a dedicated financial institution to address the long-term infrastructure financing requirements in India was realised considering the nation’s GDP growth objectives and the role of infrastructure development towards the same. In response to this need, the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development Act, 2021 was introduced, as it denotes the return of Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) in the country after a few decades. The Act subsequently received the assent of the President on March 28, 2021 and has come into force effective April 19, 2021. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vide its letter dated March 8, 2022 has advised that NaBFID shall be regulated and supervised by RBI as an All India Financial Institution (AIFI) under sections 45L and 45N of the RBI Act, 1934, respectively. Its logo is a wordmark of its acronym in blue with ‘a’ in lowercase.

MAHARISHI DAYANAND SARASWATI UNIVERSITY The emblem of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) houses the motifs of a rising sun from the hills, a swan on water, an open book, its year of establishment and its name. The yellow circular border is inscribed with its name and place in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः’ (Shloka 39, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘He who has Mastered his Senses, is Exclusively Devoted to his Practice and is Full of Faith, Attains Knowledge’.
