The emblem of Malla Reddy Engineering College (MREC) features a green colour sprocket wheel housing the motifs of an open book supporting a torch with flame held by a hand with the name of the college surmounting them. On a green banner placed below the sprocket wheel the initials of the college ‘MREC’ and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानमेव शक्तिः’ meaning ‘Knowledge is The Power’ is inscribed. The sprocket wheel symbolises represents mechanical function, movement, and interconnectedness; The book refers to education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; and the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. 14 CORPS The 14 Corps of the Indian Army is a part of the Army’s Udhampur-based Northern Command. It was raised after the Kargil War in 1999, to control troops in Ladakh. It currently consists of 3rd Infantry Division. The division was created in October 1962 in Ladakh. It fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Until 1990, it was headquartered at Kohima under III Corps. It is headquartered at Kumbathang, near Kargil. The sleeve patch of this Corps is red horizontal striped patch intersected with a white stripe in the background with two crossed torches (Vajra) with trident at their ends and wand in the foreground.
