CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF JHARKHAND

The Central University of Jharkhand came into being on March 1, 2009. The three colours of the logo have been chosen with reference to what the ancient Upanishads. Green stands for vitality and growth and greenery of the region; maroon and yellow ring symbolises existence and dynamism, simplicity and wisdom; golden yellow stands for knowledge, wisdom and prosperity; wheat crown represents the rich agriculture of Jharkhand and banyan tree represents learning, enlightenment and magnificence. The motto of the university in Sanskrit is ‘ज्ञानाद हि बुद्धि कौशलम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge to Wisdom’.
