DR. Y.S.R ARCHITECTURE AND FINE ARTS UNIVERSITY

To meet the need of trained professionals with practical, creative and real life problem solving skills in art, design and architecture, Dr. YSR Architecture and Fine Arts University was established. After the separation of the State into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the government established Dr. YSR Architecture and Fine Arts University, Kadapa under Sub Section (2) of the Section (1) of the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (Amendment) Act, 2019 of A.P Legislature Act No.15 of 2020. The emblem of the university has the national emblem Ashoka Chakra in the centre. The twelve rays that emanate from the wheel, house twelve motifs representing the university’s academics. All these are ensconced in a blue circular border bearing the name of the university. This blue circle has an orange outline. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्या सर्वत्र वन्दिते’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Worshipped Everywhere’ is inscribed on an orange banner placed below the circular seal. The colour orange represents energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

VALLABHACHARYA TILAK The tilak of Vallbhacharyas is said to consist of two white lines down the forehead, forming a half-circle at its base and a white dot between them. Vallabhacharya (1479–1531 CE) was a devotional philosopher, who founded the Pushti sect in India, following the philosophy of ‘Shuddha Advaita’ (Pure Non-dualism). He wrote a very important commentary called ‘Shri Bhashya’. The Vallabhacharya sect worships Krishna in his character of Bala Gopala.

THE JAMMU & KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY India's first Light Infantry was born out of the peoples' response in 1947, to the invasion of Kashmir by Pakistan. In the difficult days of the invasion, the population formed local defence groups. These were later organised into militias responsible for specific sectors, e.g., Leh, Nubra, Jammu, Punch, etc. Over a period, these were grouped into the Militia battalions. Two of these were later converted into the Ladakh Scouts. The militia battalions operated with skill on the Line of Control (LoC) and in the 1971 Indo-Pak War earned three battle honours. In 1972, the militia battalions were brought on par with the army units, and in 1976 designated the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI). The 8th JAK LI earned great honour by capturing a Pakistani post at 21,000 feet at the Siachen Glacier in 1987. It was established in 1987 and is named after Vardhman Mahaveer, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. The Know Your Approvals (KYA) module includes guidance for thirty two Central Departments and thirty two States.
