The circular predominantly green emblem of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV) has a motif of an apple holding the motifs of a pair of plough, head of a cattle, a flowing river, a pine tree, Mount Himalayas with rising sun, a pair of supporting crests of wheat and its name  on a green circular background. Below these, an open book is placed on which its motto is written oa brown banner. Below the spine of the book the year of inception of the university is written. The motifs represent the State of Himachal Pradesh and the domain of agriculture; the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the colour green denotes agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

PARAVANI The Paravani, Mayil, Mayura or the peacock is the vahana or vehicle of the Lord Karthikeya, Murugan, Subrahmanya, Skanda, Kumara, Saravana, Arumukha, Devasenapati, Shanmukha, Kathirvela, Guha or Swaminatha. The legend has it that the demon king Surapadman, with the boon he received from the gods had become invincible. He believed that he was immortal and began tormenting all across the universe. Lord Kartikeya confronted the Surapadman and he evaded the Lord’s attacks. The demon transformed himself into a large tree near Tiruchendur.
