Government Arts and Science College (Co-Ed), Kattumannar Koil (MGRGASC KmKoil) features the gopuram of the Veeranarayana Perumal Temple, a group of ladies working in a paddy field and an open book ensconced by a pair of sheafs of crests of paddy and a green circular banner inscribed with the name of the college in Tamil. The motto of the college 'Bringing Economically Poor Rural Youth to the Reachable Heights’ is inscribed on a red banner placed below the seal. The gopuram  refers to the history and heritage of the locale and divine blessings and guidance; the paddy sheafs and the women in the field refer to agriculture, farming and sustenance; and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
