The emblem of Kalaignar Karunanithi Government Arts College, Thiruvannamalai (KKGACTVM) features an image of Tirunannamalai Hills with sacred Annamalai Deepam supporting the motifs of the Sri Annamalaiyar Temple gopuram, a veena, a pair of books, a lotus and a pair of elephants ensconced by a circular border and a pair of laurels. The motto of the college in Tamil ‘அன்பின் வழியது உயிர்நிலை’ (80, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘The Body that Moves on the Path of Love is the Living Body’ is inscribed in the border. The hills and the Deepam represent the history and heritage of the place; the gopuram signifies divine blessings and guidance; the veena refers to art, culture and tradition; the books refer to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the elephants signify power, strength, unity and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. 14 CORPS The 14 Corps of the Indian Army is a part of the Army’s Udhampur-based Northern Command. It was raised after the Kargil War in 1999, to control troops in Ladakh. It currently consists of 3rd Infantry Division. The division was created in October 1962 in Ladakh. It fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Until 1990, it was headquartered at Kohima under III Corps. It is headquartered at Kumbathang, near Kargil. The sleeve patch of this Corps is red horizontal striped patch intersected with a white stripe in the background with two crossed torches (Vajra) with trident at their ends and wand in the foreground.
