The shield shaped emblem of M.V. Muthiah Government Arts College For Women, Dindigul (MVMWGACDGL) features the gopuram of Soundararajaperumal Temple, a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (a traditional lamp), a pair of laurels, its name inscribed on top in Tamil and its motto in Tamil ‘தூய்மை ஒருமை திறமை’ meaning ‘Purity Unity Efficiency’written at the bottom. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; gopuram  refers to the history and heritage of the locale and divine blessings and guidance; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
