The emblem of Kalaignar Karunanidhi Government Arts College For Women (Autonomous), Pudukkottai (KKGACWPDK) features the gopuram of Aavudaiyarkoil, or Thirupperunthurai temple, a traditional lamp, a lotus and a pair of elephants ensconced by a red circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Tamil. Below the seal, on a yellow banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘தற்சார்பு தொண்டு’ meaning ‘Self-reliance Service’ is inscribed. The gopuram refers to the history and heritage and divine blessings and guidance; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the elephants signify power, strength, unity and wisdom.
