THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING

The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) was established in the year 1946. NIE is a grant-in-aid institution and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Its emblem is a blue Mediaeval knight shield which holds three stars, a red gear wheel, a structural bridge and a power grid inside the gear wheel and its acronym. The stars represent its elite status, the gear wheel, bridge and power grid represent the fields of engineering taught here. The shield represents safety, security, reliability and assurance to the students.

SILVER OAK UNIVERSITY The Silver Oak University (SOU) was established in 2009 by the Silver Oak Group of Institutes. It has been accorded the status of Private University under Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009. It was founded by K. P. Kesava Menon, a volunteer in the Indian freedom struggle against the British. The word ‘Mathrubhumi’ translates to 'Mother Land'. BENGALURU NORTH UNIVERSITY The Government of Karnataka has notified the establishment of Bengaluru North University by trifurcating the erstwhile Bangalore University through its Gazette Notification on August 13, 2015 and was inaugurated on September 21, 2017. This is a State University located in Kolar in Karnataka. The emblem of the university depicts the importance of the jurisdictional area through its geographical features, scientific development and the rhythm of people’s lives. The circular emblem has three concentric circles, which represent the conscious, subconscious and dreams. RAJA SHANKAR SHAH UNIVERSITY, CHHINDWARA Raja Shankar Shah University, Chhindwara University (RSUC) has been established by the GOvernment of Madhya Pradesh dated June 17, 2019. The green colour octagonal emblem of the university is a pictorial of a flower created using the motifs of three open books, seven humans and reading of books standing on a pedestal. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written.
