The emblem of Malla Reddy University (MRU) is a monogram created using the letter ‘M’ in blue and orange. The letter ‘M’ has a mortarboard hat crested by five five pointed stars and supported by a pair of laurels. The monogram resembles a face of a human, who is the beneficiary of the university’s education; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the stars denote perfect harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the colour orange symbolises symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
