Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is an advanced research institute established and fully funded by the Reserve Bank of India for carrying out research on development issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view. IGIDR was registered as an autonomous society on November 14, 1986 and as a public trust in January 1987. Its insignia is a monogram of its acronym IGIDR forming an interesting motif of a person holding and nurturing others, placed on a pedestal of a book. The book symbolises knowledge and wisdom gained through reading, learning and research.

BURDWAN UNIVERSITY Burdwan University is a State University which was established on June 15, 1965. The circular emblem of this university has a gear wheel with sixteen teeth holding the motif of a decorative column standing on a lotus pedestal and supported on either side by scroll designs. These are ensconced by a border on which the name of the university is inscribed in Devanagari and Bengali. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation, timing, order and structure and the decorated column signifies dharma and being virtuous.

GURUGRAM UNIVERSITY The emblem of Gurugram University (GU) has a yellow shield supported by a pair of laurels, crested by a flame and by a red banner below. The shield houses the motifs of rising sun, a pair of twigs,an open book, a globe, a human brain, a banyan tree, robot, WiFi symbol, picture of persons holding a trophy, its name and place and a bow and arrow.
