INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, HYDERABAD

International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is an autonomous university, founded as a not for profit public private partnership (N-PPP) in 1998 and is the first IIIT in India under this model. Over the years, the institute has evolved strong research programmes in various areas, with an emphasis on technology and applied research for industry and society. The blue colour emblem of the university has a banyan tree or ‘Kalpa Vriksha’ or ‘Tree of Wish Fulfillment’ which symbolises longevity and has important medicinal properties. The very size of the banyan tree makes it a habitat for a large number of creatures. For centuries the banyan tree has been a central point for the village communities of India. The name of the institute is written using serif font.
