The rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the colour yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity; the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the dodecagon represents harmony, completeness and divinity.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. TIRUMALA TIRUPATI DEVASTHANAMS Tirumala Tirupati Devastahnams (TTD) is an independent trust which manages Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh and other temples. The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is the most visited religious center in the world. It is also involved in various social, religious, literary and educational activities.
