The pictorial emblem of Alva's Institute of Engineering & Technology (AIET) features a headgear known as ‘kirita’ or ‘pagade’ of a yakshagana dancer in white, yellow,red and brown supported by its initials in brown. The ‘kirita’ refers to the rich heritage of the region, where the college is located. The colour white is associated with purity and divinity, while red can signify anger, passion, or even demonic nature and yellow is linked to the earth, and green to water or nature.
