A pair of laurels supports the motifs on the sides and a banner and its initials at the bottom. All these are placed on a blue rectangular panel. RAIGANJ UNIVERSITY Raiganj University was formed through the Raiganj University Act (West Bengal Act XXVI of 2014) on February 3, 2015. It is located in Raiganj, West Bengal. Its square emblem has a traditional Bengali lamp with flame in the middle of a square whose border is divided into four blocks. The top block has its name written in red colour Devanagari and the bottom block has its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (1.3.28, Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ is written.
