The emblem of Joy University (JU) is a monogram of brown and grey of its initials ‘JU’ supported by its name in grey serif capitals. The motto of the college ‘Semper Paratus’ meaning ‘Always Ready’, (the motto of the United States Coast Guard (USCG)), representing the commitment to readiness for any mission. The colour brown signifies the earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition; and grey represents strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence.
