Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU) Act was passed by both the Parliament and published on March 5, 2014. The circular emblem of this university in yellow, orange, green and blue has motifs of a cattle, trees, a farmer, gladiolus flowers, water, a fish, a cellular phone, a computer, satellite antenna, laboratory beakers, a flask, DNA structure, a microscope, a book, a gear wheel and rising sun all ensconced in a blue circle and surrounded by a border carrying the name of the university Devanagari and English. On either side of this is supported a stem of wheat heads and supported by an orange banner stating its year of establishment. At the bottom on a yellow banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि सर्व जीवनस्य अधारम्’ meaning 'Agriculture is the Basis of All Life’.
