SIKKIM UNIVERSITY

Sikkim University is presently located at Gangtok, the capital town of Sikkim. The Central University's motto is 'Quest Knowledge Wisdom'. The red, blue and cyan emblem of the university has a yellow ‘dendrobium nobile’ supported by an open book on a pedestal, which is supported by a green ribbon. These are placed in the backdrop of Himalayan mountains, which form its geography. All these are ensconced in a circle. At the bottom, on a red banner the name of the university and its year of establishment is written. This flower is widely found in the state and the book represents knowledge and wisdom. The green ribbon symbolises balance and harmony.
