South Asian University (SAU) is an international university established by the eight member nations of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) viz. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. SAU started its operations from the academic year 2010. The logo of SAU is a motif generated by the interaction of two ‘8’s and four octagons placed in a blue rectangular background, symbolising the eight participating nations of SAARC. Below the motif, its acronym and its name are written.
