The ICFAI University Dehradun is established under the provisions of The ICFAI University Act 2003 (Act 16 of 2003) enacted by the State of Uttarakhand. The ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand is sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI). The logo of the university has the acronym of its name written in capital slab serif font in blue colour, supported by a red banner on which ‘University’ is written. Below this ‘Dehradun’ is written in blue. Its recognition under UGC is written in red. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity.

RAJENDRA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (RIMS) The emblem of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is directly adapted from the State Emblem of the State of Jharkhand. The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.

The earlier version of the emblem of the State of Jharkhand is cresting the staff. The initials and place of the college surmount the motifs. GOVERNMENT WOMEN'S POLYTECHNIC, MUZAFFARPUR (GWP MUZAFFARPUR) The orange, red and pink emblem of Government Women's Polytechnic, Muzaffarpur (GWP Muzaffarpur) features the motifs of a lotus holding three abstract humans holding their hands, a pair of gear wheels, a transmission tower, a computer and a tailoring machine and the motto of the college ‘Empowering Women Empowering Nation’. These are circumscribed by the name and place of the college and its year of establishment. These are ensconced by circular outlines in red and orange. The lotus and the humans represent purity, resilience and growth. The petals transform into abstract, uplifting figures of women with raised arms, celebrating growth, independence and shared empowerment.
