THE ICFAI UNIVERSITY DEHRADUN

The ICFAI University Dehradun is established under the provisions of The ICFAI University Act 2003 (Act 16 of 2003) enacted by the State of Uttarakhand. The ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand is sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI). The logo of the university has the acronym of its name written in capital slab serif font in blue colour, supported by a red banner on which ‘University’ is written. Below this ‘Dehradun’ is written in blue. Its recognition under UGC is written in red. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure. Below the seal, on a light green banner, the motto of the college in Arabic ‘العِلْمُ مَقْرُونٌ بِالعَمَلِ’, which translates to ‘Knowledge is Tied / Linked to Action’. The book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lighted candle symbolises enlightenment and the removal of darkness (ignorance), representing how knowledge guides a student's path and spreads light into society; and the colour green refers to the college’s Islamic orientation.

INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES (JAMMU IDS JAMMU) The red and black emblem of Institute of Dental Sciences (Jammu IDS Jammu) features a shield inscribed with the housing the motifs of a mountain range, a molar tooth, an open book and a pair of Rods of Asclepius. The shield is surmounted by a banner inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below these the motto of the college in Devanagari ‘निःस्वार्थ मानव सेवा उत्तम है’, which translates to ‘Selfless Service to Humanity is the Highest Virtue’ is inscribed. A yellow ribbon inscribed with the name of the college in red is placed on the shield. MANIPUR TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY The Manipur Technical University (MTU) is the first technical university of the State established on April 23, 2016. The circular emblem of the university has an orange eight toothed gear wheel bearing the university’s name in Meiteilon ensconcing the motifs of a pair of gear wheels, a student with mortarboard hat and a rising sun in the background of Kanglasha - Nongsaba, i.e. half lion and half dragon.
