UNIFIED MOBILE APPLICATION
FOR NEW-AGE GOVERNANCE

UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to drive Mobile Governance in India. UMANG provides a single platform to access major pan India e-Gov services from Central and State Government Departments and also Utility Bill payment services. This application serves as a unified platform providing access to more than one thousand and two hundred central and state government services such as AADHAR, DigiLocker, PAN, CBSE, tax and fee or utility bill payments, e-District and passport. The services are available in multiple Indian languages. The app was launched on November 23, 2017. The orange and blue colour logo of UMANG has an index finger touching blue colour mobile phone and its acronym written at the bottom using a round ended medium sans serif font.

GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE KOTLI (GDC KOTLI) The emblem of Government Degree College Kotli (GDC Kotli) features the motifs of a green mountain range with peaks, greenish blue waves of water, an open book and the text ‘2016’. The motifs are ensconced by the name of the college in Devanagari and English in red. The motto of the college ‘Education Liberates’ and in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa, Rishi Parāśara), which translates to ‘Knowledge is the One That Liberates’ is written below the book. The mountain range reflects the local landscape of Kotli; the flowing water represents the local water streams running through the valley, symbolising continuous movement, vitality and life; and the book is a universal symbol for knowledge, learning and academic pursuit.

GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE THACHI (GDC THACHI) The emblem of Government Degree College Thachi (GDC Thachi) features a circle trisected with red outlines housing the motifs of three deodar trees, an open book with a pen and an orange radiating sun. The circle is ensconced by a green circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment in Devanagari and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या नाम नरस्य रूपमधिकं’ (Verse 16, Niti Shatakam, Bhartrihari), which translates to ‘Knowledge is Indeed the Ultimate Beauty of a Person’.
