The emblem of Bharat Ratna Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Government Arts and Science College, Rameswaram (APJAKGACRMM) features a circle housing a portrait of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and the motifs of an airplane, a set of books, waves of water, a missile being launched and a barchart with GDP written. These motifs are ensconced by a border in National Colours inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a red banner, the motto of the college ‘Research Creation Growth’ is inscribed. The portrait refers to the famous son of the soil and a great science and technology administrator; the books refer to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom, the waters refer to the sea of Rameswaram; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of science and technology.
