The emblem of Bharathi Women's  College (BWC) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of a dancing peacock, a traditional lamp, an elephant, a pair of ‘kuthuvilakku’ lamps, an open book; a veena, and a ship on sea and written on with the motto of the college ‘Endeavour to Enlighten’ and its initials ‘BWC’. Below the shield, on a red banner, the name of the college is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lamps symbolise light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the peacock symbolises regrowth, rejuvenation, royalty, respect, honour, integrity, beauty, love and passion; the elephant signifies power, strength, unity and wisdom; the book refers to education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the veena refers to art, culture and tradition; and the ship refers to global ambitions, reach, and aspirations.
