The motto of the college ‘Arise Awake Achieve’ is written on a brown banner placed below the shield. The name of the place of college is written on a plaque placed at the bottom. Swami Vivekanada was a pivotal Indian Hindu monk and chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramhansa who modernized Hinduism and introduced Indian Vedanta and Yoga to the West. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.

WESTERN AIR COMMAND The origin of the Western Air Command can be traced back to the nascent years of independent India, when the various formations of the Air Force were organised into two groups. On July 22, 1949 the No 1 Operational Group was re-designated as the Operational Command. The Command assumed its present name of Headquarters Western Air Command on June 10, 1963. Headquarters Western Air Command, located at Subroto Park, New Delhi, has over 200 bases placed under its command and has been involved in all major operations in India since independence.
