On February 6, 2001, the Rajasthan Sanskrit University was established. From June 27, 2005, from June 27, 2005 the name of the university has been changed to Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University, Jaipur. Its orangish yellow, pink and brown circular emblem has a computer keyboard, supporting a kumbh painted with swastika and swans on with either side, with lotus flower and buds, topped by a sloka ‘सर्वे प्रपत्तेरधिकारिणो मताः’ meaning ‘All are Considered Entitled for Attainment’ are placed in the background of a glowing light. It is ensconced in a circular border carrying the name of the university and supported by a banner with its motto in Sanskrit ‘रुतच्च स्वाध्याय-प्रवचने च’ meaning ‘Ruta In His Study and Discourse’. Keyboard denotes the use of information technology in studies; kumbha the pot of ‘amrita’ denotes nectar of immortality; Swastika denotes ‘good exoxtence’; Swans denotes purity, grace and beauty; lotus denotes purity, knowledge and wisdom and the glowing light denotes path to glory and achievement.
