THE CHARUTAR VIDYA MANDAL (CVM) UNIVERSITY

On March 3, 1945, an educational township named Vallabh Vidyanagar was proposed as a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) University was established in 1999 by Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM), an educational Society. The emblem of the university in tones of blue has a lotus five petals of which two are yellow holds the motifs of a hand holding a pen - the tool for writing, the second one holding a scroll - the certificate for academic achievement, the third one holding an open book - symbol of knowledge and wisdom and the fourth one holding a flask for conducting scientific experiments. The lotus is supported by a banner bearing its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान - विज्ञान - प्रज्ञान’ meaning ‘Knowledge - Science - Wisdom’. Below the acronym of its name is written in two lines with slab serif bold and medium font.
