In its endeavour to champion the cause of the indigenous people of India, particularly Northeast and to voice the concerns of the ethnic communities, minorities and the voiceless, the National People’s Party (NPP) was founded in January 2013 by Purno Agitok Sangma. Its symbol is a book on the cover of which ‘क”  and ‘A’ are written.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure. The colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES (JAMMU IDS JAMMU) The red and black emblem of Institute of Dental Sciences (Jammu IDS Jammu) features a shield inscribed with the housing the motifs of a mountain range, a molar tooth, an open book and a pair of Rods of Asclepius. The shield is surmounted by a banner inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below these the motto of the college in Devanagari ‘निःस्वार्थ मानव सेवा उत्तम है’, which translates to ‘Selfless Service to Humanity is the Highest Virtue’ is inscribed. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the tooth refers to the study of teeth and their healing; the Rods of Asclepius is an ancient Greek symbol of healing, featuring a single serpent wrapped around a staff and it represents the Greco-Roman god of medicine, Asclepius and remains the core emblem for modern healthcare organizations worldwide; and the book symbolises knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.
