The emblem of the Abhilashi University (AU) has a Goddess Saraswati sitting on a white lotus, with veena supported by an open book. The image is ensconced by a decorative golden border and a red circular border on which its name is inscribed. Below this round seal on a red banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयम्’ (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha) meaning ‘Education Makes one Humble’. Goddess Saraswati represents education, learning, wisdom and knowledge; the open book also symbolises the same and the colour red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.
