TEZPUR UNIVERSITY

Tezpur University was established on January 21, 1994 as per the Tezpur University Act, 1993 enacted by the Parliament. The establishment of Tezpur University is considered to be one of the outcomes of the Assam Accord. Its circular logo in dark and light blue has the base of a book evolving into flying birds, topped by mountain peaks and crested by an atomic structure, with a background of dark blue with light blue lines. These are ensconced by a border on which its name, date of establishment and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विज्ञानं यज्ञं तनुते’ meaning ‘Specialized Knowledge Promotes Creativity’ are written. Mountain peaks denote its geography and the peaks one has to conquer, atomic structure represents science and the book is the source of knowledge to gain and to fly as a free and enlightened as birds.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted. Its name is written in Urdu atop the emblem on a banner; written in Devanagari on a banner above the logo and in English at its bottom. DigiLocker provides an account in cloud to every Indian citizen to access authentic documents and certificates such as driving licence, vehicle registration, academic mark list in digital format from the original issuers of these certificates. It also provides one GB storage space to each account to upload scanned copies of legacy documents. Its emblem in purple colour has a cloud with a keyhole with a background of a document. Its name is written alongside and its tag line is written below the name.

JHARKHAND GOVERNMENT TOOL ROOM, DUMKA (GTRTC DUMKA) The emblem of Jharkhand Government Tool Room, Dumka (GTRTC Dumka) features a blue gearwheel housing the motifs of a spanner with a pallet knife, a pair of gear wheels and a computer. The gearwheel is ensconced by a circular border with brown outlines inscribed with the name and place of the college. The seal is supported by a pair of laurels. The motto of the college in Sanskrit in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written on a green banner with red outlines. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed. UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. The name of the university is written on A banner at the bottom. SRI SATHYA SAI UNIVERSITY FOR HUMAN EXCELLENCE Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE) was formed vide Karnataka Act No. 17 of 2018. Its motto is ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’  – pursuit of perfection in every action as taught by the Bhagavad Gīta, which aims at encouraging young men and women to excel both in social and spiritual lives. The emblem of the university is the vibrant colours and tones of yellow, orange and red has a circle ensconced in ten overlapping and intersecting hexagons and further supported by six three layered petals of lotus.
