In the year 2002, Chitkara Educational Trust established its Punjab campus near Chandigarh. Chitkara University was established through The Chitkara University Act in 2010. The insignia has a red squircle depicting arrows in soaring heights, promising everlasting progress. It also illustrates the interlinking of our key stakeholders namely students, parents, faculty, alumni, industry and society as a whole, working in synergy towards a common goal which is the everlasting success of each Chitkara student and creating them as responsible citizens. The colour red denotes energy and passion to explore one’s potential. On its right its name is written in two lines in sans serif extra bold and serif capitals in black.

The shield is supported by a pair of laurels. The NISG was registered as a Section 25 company in May 2002 with its headquarters at Hyderabad. The vision of NISG is to establish itself as a centre of excellence in e-Governance to facilitate application of public and private resources to e-Governance in the areas of: strategic planning, project consulting, capacity building, and research and innovation. The NISG logo has a unique typeface wherein the letter ‘N’ has been shown as a bridge which depicts the connection between public and private sector.

SANT BABA BHAG SINGH UNIVERSITY The emblem of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University (SBBSU) in orange and blue has a Khanda forming the background for orange rising sun supported by an open book and a pair of laurels on sides surmounted by its acronym. All these are ensconced by a orange circular border with blue and white outlines on which the motto of the university in Punjabi ‘ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਧੇਰ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ’ (Guru Arjun Dev, Sloku 14, Page 293) meaning ‘To whom the Satguru has Bestowed the Glory of Knowledge, his Ignorance (form) Darkness is Destroyed’ and its name in Punjabi are written. KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. Mysore State was the predecessor to Karnataka State, which was created on November 1, 1965. Sri. L. Rickets was appointed as first Inspector General of Police. During the rule of Maharajas of Mysore, the policing existed in different variants. Hukumnama or Kandachara was issued for policing during the rule of Maharaja Mummudi Krishna Raja Wodeyar (1799-1811) at old Mysore region under the British rule, when Sri. Poornaiah was Dewan.
