Mata Gujri University (MGU) located in Kishanganj was sponsored and established by Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College and L.S.K. Hospital Trust Kishanganj under Bihar Private University Act 20 of 2013, dated September 9, 2013 vide Notification No- 463 dated February 20, 2019. The circular emblem of the university has the portrait of Mata Gujri and others crested by ‘Ek Omkar’ meaning ‘One Supreme Reality’ on a yellowish orange circle. The circle is ensconced by a blue border which carries its name and the year of establishment. Below the insignia on a blue border its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written on a banner placed below the seal.
