CHANAKYA UNIVERSITY

Chanakya University calls itself a for-purpose university and a global learning destination. The gold and blue emblem of the university is inspired by ancient coins of Indian kingdoms that served with will, wisdom and action that reflects the heritage and civilizational depth which have enduring relevance and meaning. The peepal (ashwatha) leaf symbolises abundant wisdom (jñāna), the sun symbolises energy with an indomitable will (ichhā) and the Dharma Chakra symbolises movement with the right, meaningful action (kriyā). The colours are inspired by nature and light, which reflects character, sincerity and commitment. The typeface complementing the logo is a custom hand drawn serif typeface.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. It functions under the administrative control of Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is managed by a Board of Directors comprising representatives of the Government, Reserve Bank of India, banking and insurance and exporting community. UTTARAKHAND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT BOARD Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) is the highest body to advise the Government on all matters relating to tourism in the State. The logo of the Board is based on Devanagari letter ‘उ’ drawn using four swooshes, in which the cyan represents the mountains, blue represents the rivers, red represents the temples of the land and green represents the forests. The logo, as a composite, looks bright, vibrant and enthusiastic, thereby inviting tourists to this State. Below this the name of the State is written. The motto of the college in Tamil ‘உற்றுழி உதவியும் (உறுபொருள் கொடுத்தும் பிற்றைநிலை முனியாது) கற்றல் நன்றே’ (183, Purananuru, King Nedunchezhian) meaning ‘By Offering Help.. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
