PRAGJYOTISHPUR UNIVERSITY

Pragjyotishpur University is established under The Pragjyotishpur University Act No XLVI of 2022 and recognized by The University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. Its academic sessions began from 2023-24. Its orange colour emblem is in the form of a lotus petal housing the monogram of its acronym in the form of a flame and supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता’ (Shloka 61, Chapter 2, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘His Knowledge is Firmly Set’. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the colour orange means energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.
