Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani is a State University established by the Government of Haryana under Act No. 25 of 2014. It has been recognized by the University Grants Commission under 2F. This is a teaching and affiliating university to facilitate higher education in multi-disciplines with special emphasis on sports and physical education. The gold and blue emblem of the university is a shield with motifs and embellishments and supported by a banner bearing its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या गुरूणां गुरुः’(Guru Vishnu Sharma, Hitopdesha) meaning ‘Education is the Teacher of the Teachers’. The shield is crested by a yogi symbolic of synergy to have good physical and mental health. The laurels or foliage are indicative of aesthetic and intellectual growth of the young minds with due consideration for ecological balance and DNA on both the sides of the emblem represent perpetuity and potential of the human race. The wheat spikes suggest prosperity and nutrition and the State of Haryana. The flame at the centre of the logo is the flame of knowledge, wisdom and enlightenment.
