K. K. UNIVERSITY

The K. K. University (KKU) was established under the Bihar Private Universities Act on June 8, 2017. The Samajik Kalyan Sanstha is the sponsor of the university. The circular emblem of the university is in the tones of blue with the motifs of an open book, a torch, a rotating flower and a gear wheel. These are ensconced in a border which bears its name supported by a pair of laurels. Below the circle on a banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge  is one that Liberates’ is inscribed. The open book denotes education, knowledge and wisdom; the torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the flower with six tilting petals like a windmill denotes life, serenity, resilience, self-sufficiency and perseverance in a harsh environment; the gear means interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
