Three years after Asom (Assam) had come under the control of the British, the Baptist Missionary Society (B.M.S) or the English Baptists through the Serampore Mission, opened a school at Guwahati in 1826. In 2010, Principals of Theological Seminaries Under Cbcnei proposed to establish a full fledged university. The North East Christian University (NECU) was established through the North Eastern Christian University Act 2012 of Government of Nagaland. The light blue colour emblem of the university is a flying dove looking like a flame of torch placed on a pedestal and supported by its acronym, name and its motto ‘Truth & Liberty’. The dove symbolises peace, purity, harmony, freedom and love; the flame symbolises enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the light blue colour denotes calmness, serenity, peace, tranquillity, creativity, intelligence, faith and purity.

Muzaffarnagar Medical College (MMC) is offering courses in medical science leading to the degree of MBBS. Its emblem is an orange squircle with its acronym ‘Cmm’ as a monogram in white, light blue and violet colours. It is supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वाणी स्वास्थ्य मूलम्’ meaning ‘Health is the Root of Everything’. On the top right corner is the Rod of Aesculapius (also called Asklepios), the ancient mythical god of medicine. Asklepios may have been a real person who was renowned for his gentle remedies and humane treatment of the mentally ill.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.

This look like a mould for injection and the leaf symbolises environment consciousness. Its acronym CIPET is written in Devanagari and English at the bottom and below that is its motto ‘probe, practice, perform, Plastics’ in dark blue.

KONGUNADU COLLEGE OF NURSING Kongunadu College of Nursing (KCN)was founded by Dr.P.Raju and is run by Kongunattu Arakattalai. The college is located near Coimbatore city on Thondamuthur Main Road. The emblem of the college has the motifs of a traditional lamp supported by a red cross at the bottom and a pair of blue lions on the sides. These are placed above the acronym of its name. All theses are ensconced in a yellow circular border which bears the name and place of the college. Below this on a border its motto 'Knowledge is Power’ is written. The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and laurels signify victory, accomplishment, honour, recognition, immortality, peace and harmony.
