Babu Banarasi Das University (BBDU) was established in 2010. The campus of the University is situated in BBD City in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The red and blue colour emblem of the university is a monogram created using its acronym. It looks like the image of Lord Ganesha. The emblem is bold, bright and attractive. Its name is written below the monogram. The colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
