UNIVERSITY OF CALICUT 

University of Calicut (UoC), the largest University in Kerala in terms of the expanse, affiliated colleges and the number of degrees awarded was established in the year 1968. It is the second university to be started in Kerala. ‘Nirmaya Karmana Sree’ being the motto ,which denotes ‘Prosperity will be Generated Through Pure Actions’. It is governed by Calicut University Act 1975, passed by the Legislative Assembly of Kerala. The seal of the university has a lighthouse with a weathercock showing directions and its motto in Sanskrit ‘निर्मय कर्माणा श्रीः’ is written on it are ensconced by a circular border which carries its name in English and its motto in Malayalam ‘നിർമ്മായ  കർമ്മണാ ശ്രീ:’. The platform of the lighthouse is inscribed with the name of the university. The lighthouse and the weathercock are the beacons of knowledge and education showing the path to the aspirants.

PES INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (PESIT) The logo of PES Institute of Technology (PESIT) features a globe with India in the middle ensconced by a compass rose, also called a wind rose, rose of the winds or compass star in red and orange colour placed in a blue circle. The globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; and the compass lets the students break the boundaries into the new world. The name of the university is written adjacent to the emblem.

SAHARSA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (SCE) The emblem of Saharsa College of Engineering (SCE) features a gearwheel inscribed with the name and place of the college. The counter of the wheel houses the motifs of an open book supporting a human figure with outstretched hands surrounded by a dish antenna, a microscope, a helicopter and tower. GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE BOKARO (GEC BOKARO) The emblem of Government Engineering College Bokaro (GEC Bokaro) uses the emblem of the Jharkhand University of Technology. This features the map of the State of Jharkhand placed inside a gear wheel supported by a traditional lamp and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is placed inside a white circle.
