BURDWAN UNIVERSITY

Burdwan University is a State University which was established on June 15, 1965. The circular emblem of this university has a gear wheel with sixteen teeth holding the motif of a decorative column standing on a lotus pedestal and supported on either side by scroll designs. These are ensconced by a border on which the name of the university is inscribed in Devanagari and Bengali. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation, timing, order and structure and the decorated column signifies dharma and being virtuous.

DOORDARSHAN 1959 Doordarshan (DD) is an autonomous public service broadcaster founded by the Government of India, which is one of two divisions of Prasar Bharati.
