INDIA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LEGAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

The Bar Council of India Trust took the initiative to establish the India International University of Legal Education and Research in Goa (IIULER). It was established by the Bar Council of India Trust - Pearl First through a Statute of the Goa Legislature. The emblem of the university is a brown colour shield with thick golden borders holding the motifs of the globe and a map of India. The name of the university surmounts these motifs. The acronym of the university’s name is written on a golden banner below the shield. At the bottom the name of the promoters are written. The globe and the map of India symbolise the domain and scope of the university and its range of studies; the colour gold symbolises wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement and the colour brown denotes earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition.

AKAL UNIVERSITY Akal University in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, India was set up by Kalgidhar Society in the year 2015 under the Akal University Act, 2015 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 2015). The emblem of the university is a shield holding the motifs of an open book, book rest or khanda and the name of the university. Below the shield the name of the place of the university is written. The open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom and the book rest or khanda symbolises the book reading stand used by religious scholars. TEERTHANKER MAHAVEER UNIVERSITY Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), was established by an Act (No. 30) of 2008 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2008. The emblem of the university has a motif of a pair of green flying birds motif supporting the acronym of the name and place of the university are placed in a circular orange vignette background. These are ensconced by a half white and half red border which bears the name of the university in English and Devanagari respectively. On a banner with orange tones, its motto in Sanskrit ‘सम्यक् दर्शन, सम्यक् ज्ञान, सम्यक् चारित्र' meaning ‘Right philosophy, Right knowledge, Right character’ is inscribed in black. The green flying bird symbols mean good luck, hope, joy, new beginnings, renewal and healing.

MANGALORE UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mangalore University (MU) depicts its geography, history and tradition through a number of motifs. In the centre of a circle the motifs of rising sun above mountains and waterbody and trees are  placed representing the geography of the locale. It is ensconced by a yellow circular border on which its name is inscribed in Kannada and English. The circular seal is crested by a colourful headgear or ‘kirita’ of the famous folk dance form ‘Yakshagana’ and supported on either side by coffee plant branches with leaves and fruits for which the city and the State of Karnataka are famous for. At the bottom of the insignia, on a blue banner the motto of the university in Kannada ‘ಜ್ಞಾನವೇ-ಬೆಳಕು’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Light’ is inscribed.

GODDESS MAHAGAURI Goddess Mahagauri is the radiant eighth form of Goddess Durga, representing purity, peace, calmness, and wisdom. Her name, meaning ‘great fair one’, signifies the transformation of Goddess Parvati's dark complexion into a radiant white form after extreme penance and a sacred bath. Bank Ltd., Solapur (Manorama Bank) has a stencilled ‘M’ crested by a one Rupee coin and supported by a segment of a gear wheel and surmounted by its motto in Marathi ‘॥ जो जे वांछिल तो ते लाहो ॥’ meaning ‘May Everyone Get What They Desire’. College of Engineering (SLNCE) is a shield featuring the motifs of spool of thread, a shuttle, a transmission tower, a computer, a partial gearwheel, and building blocks referring to subject disciplines of engineering.
