Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya (BSSRV) has been established by the Government of Assam under the Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya Act 2020. The emblem of the university has a brown circular border which carries the name of the university holding the motifs of a nib of a pen, a head with mortarboard hat on a blue circular slab with planets and an open book supporting all these. On either side of these is a laurel and on the back a scroll. The name of the university is written in Assamese and its year of establishment surmount all these motifs. There is a green colour base on which all the elements are placed and on its edges the place of the university is written. The open book symbolises knowledge, education and wisdom; the nib of a pen denotes freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the laurels denotes ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the mortarboard hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the planets denote basic drives or urges of subconscious; the scroll is the diploma of graduation and the whole motif appears like an ideal human.
